Introducing… The ⋮Knowhere Knugget
Updates and announcements about ⋮Knowhere Stays, Journeys, and schedules.
Hello dear folks, and wishing you a happy March!
We reached out to you a couple of weeks back, and the warm response we received was such a blessing… It was wonderful to hear from you all! We felt that when we spoke about our own experiences, challenges, and even the feeling of burning out, it truly resonated with our beloved readers.
It got us thinking, however, about the ethics of this kind of outreach—is it alright to mix sensitive, even vulnerable subjects with profit-making messaging in the same breath? Even if it is, does it make the content less lucid? Does it make logistical information harder to find? What would be a good way to have a balanced approach?
Upon reflection, we feel that it’s a bit of everything, and it is our work— and we feel that it is okay to speak about it, to get our daily bread, and to chop wood and carry water, too.
That said, we want to honour the reality that we are not fully comfortable with mixing commercial and logistical aspects of our work with the rest of what we put out in the Knowhere Knewsletter. We do realize that sometimes it’s just nice to read or watch or listen to something without being marketed to, and at other times it is nice to just have the essential, logistical information easily accessible in one place— the lists of what tours, events, and spaces are available, the dates, contact details, etc.
With this clarity, we have decided to publish two newsletters each month:
The long-form Knowhere Knewsletter that you know and love, which we shall now focus more towards stories, pictures, thought pieces, editorials, factoids, recipes, and maybe even artwork!
A much shorter Knowhere Knugget, where we shall be talking about our Stays, Journeys, schedules, and other information.
As you may be aware, The Binsar Forest Trail and Sweet Valley Crossing Journeys are active. Please look at the dates below!
Please note that only a few seats are left, so do contact us immediately if you want an immersive holiday experience!
Take a look at the links below to get an idea about what to expect on these journeys—
“My intentions for the holiday were just to have a real peaceful escape from the rhythms of my regular life… and also a break from social interactions to really be in nature… and it was more than exceeded… I mean… I really had an incredible experience!” ~Shakthi (speaking about Sweet Valley Crossing)
Also, a special note for the readers of our newsletters:
