The ⋮Knowhere Knugget: June 2025
Updates and announcements about ⋮Knowhere Stays, Journeys, and schedules.
Hello dear folks… this June, we are happy to announce that we have the dates for our extremely popular, and one-of-a-kind walking holidays…
… there are only a limited number of walks that we can organise each year, and each walk is for a small group of up to a maximum of 6 guests.
These gentle events include culture, adventure, wildlife, and relaxation and are ideal for both adults and children who are not used to multi-day walks. Even seasoned hikers who want a relaxed pace would enjoy these journeys.
This year’s dates for Sweet Valley Crossing are listed below:
Two cohorts of The Binsar Forest Trail are available, and the dates are listed below for both:
We have tried to organise the slots in a way that our patrons don't need to take too many days off from work, and most of the dates include long weekends and public national holidays…
…and if these dates don't work, private tours for custom dates and durations are also possible.
Meanwhile, the 2025-2026 season of the packrafting-based Brahmaputra Drift is on schedule… and as this journey gets booked out well in advance, we invite you to book early to ensure that you have your confirmed seats.
If you’re wondering what a packraft is, and if it would suit you, please check out the recent question and answer session by our team on Instagram about the Brahmaputra Drift!
As you may know, there are two versions of the Brahmaputra Drift, anchored in and around Talo and Majuli, respectively... and both getting filled up:
Talo:
Nov 1 to Nov 8 - full!
Dec 25 to Jan 1 (X-mas and New Year’s Eve special!) - last 4 slots left!
Jan 10 to Jan 17 - (Season closer, in winter!) - filling fast
Wouldn’t it be rather wonderful to end the year and start a new one in the heart of nature, floating around in packrafts, on a river, with friends and loved ones? In our experience, the celebration of the festive season on the Brahmaputra is spectacular—not with fireworks and chaos, but with the sounds of nature, with the gentle river breeze, with the warm hospitality of people, with sumptuous food… and perhaps one of the most stunning night skies that you can see, from anywhere in the world.
Our patrons have consistently loved the experience! Sharing some kind words from one of them:
“The brochure and the description of the trip set very high expectations and I must say you guys delivered every bit of it and more! Kudos to that! Not often are such high expectations actually met…”
~Shashank (participant, The Brahmaputra Drift: Talo)
Get away from the crowds and drunken rush of the city, and join us at Talo!
Majuli:
Nov 15 to Nov 22 - full!
Dec 6 to Dec 13 - filling fast
Jan 24 to Jan 31 - (Season closer) - last two slots left!
Please write to us by email at discover@knowheretravel.co to book your seats!
Even as we share these updates with you, we are also in the process of understanding the impact of the violence wreaked on Indian soil just a short while back… and we find that as a testament to the triumph of people’s spirit, Ladakh season is ongoing…
Our team is there right now assessing the ground situation and doing a recce…
… and there are exciting new possibilities!
For our Knugget and Knewsletter readers, here’s an early peek…
…we’re sketching out a heritage-focused circuit that traces Ladakh’s deep-rooted history through restored spaces stewarded by keepers of traditional knowledge.
We’ve also met partners crafting unique experiences: from exploring nomadic pashmina life and traditional farming to reading the land’s ancient geology.

And yes, a new packrafting route is on the horizon…
There’s a lot brewing. Ladakh, as always, continues to offer more for every kind of traveller. Overall, things are looking hopeful...
And on that hopeful note, we build, and we look forward to facilitating responsible and potentially transformative travel.
